Progress.?.?.?

Classmate Contact Information submission forms have been trickling in from the website and Julie has been busy (but barely!!!) updating our file.  With 200 plus folks on classmates.com from our class, you'd think that we would have had more than 20ish folks submit information after I posted the bulletin almost three weeks ago.  ::sigh::  I suppose we have to keep in mind that the actual event is still two years away and perhaps folks have outdated information on the classmates.com site regarding their current email, so they aren't getting notified…  Blah, blah, blah…

Progress!  We (I) want progress!!!  I feel some sort of metric with a target line in the making…  Yes, the Program Management side of me is showing.  I'm such a dork!  LOL!

I must say that it's been interesting to see whom has responded thus far.  And I love reading the guestbook comments…

…I wonder if John Oblak will actually stop using his work-out equipment as a hanger…  LOL!!  (Sorry, John, I couldn't help myself!)

Okay, even though the comment made me chuckle, I'm sure many of us could say something similar.  I had let my gym membership lapse for a good three or four years and renewed it about a month or so ago.   Alas, the trials and tribulations of old age (Ack! Did I just say that?!?!?!) have been keeping me from going the past couple weeks…gotta love the aches and pains!  Stupid sciatic nerve! ;P

The comment also made me wonder if folks will really try to improve their looks for the reunion whether it be via dieting, working out, tanning, new hair style, etc…or at the extreme cosmetic surgery!

I don't foresee myself doing anything other than what I've been doing…  I certainly don’t want to lose any weight, but I may tan…  Don’t want to be lookin' all pasty or blind people with my lily white legs (if the event will be in the summer months)!  LOL!!!  Although, tanning isn't anything out of the norm for me either…so…???

I dunno…just me thinking out loud…

Overall, I guess some progress is better than no progress, right?!?!?!

So…get those submission forms in and feel free to reply…it's lonely here all by myself! ;)

Time

Time has passed and it's so hard to believe that we graduated almost 25 years ago... 25 years...unreal...

I have to say, that I don't feel a day over ::clearing throat:: 30! ;P

Although, honestly, it really doesn't feel like it's been 25 years, does it?

It seems like only yesterday I was going to dances with my friends, cheering at football and basketball games and trying to figure out what I was going to do with the rest of my life...

Not that it's much different today, I still dont' know what I want to do when I grow up! LOL!

Alas, there is all the adult "stuff" we have to deal with now. For me, it's those nasty bills, a 16 yr old daughter
, two wild siberian huskies, trying to juggle time to get the gym, not to mention the ex... Who would have thought things could be so complicated?

Oh, to be young and naive again! To, once again, think that the world would be at my fingertips and that I knew absolutely everything there is to know... I look at my daughter and wonder, "Was I really like that? Did I have the "know it all" attitude?" I'm sure I did. I'm guessing we all did... Not that I would ever want to be in high school again - you couldn't pay me to do that!

How does everyone else feel? Do you feel like it's really been almost 25 years?

Chime in and let us know!
